Kia recently unveiled its Soul EV vehicle in Chicago Auto Show. The electric powered Soul EV features an 81-KW motor that helps achieve 0-60 mph in fewer than 12 seconds. This master piece, front wheel drive can go to a top speed of approximately 90 miles per hour and its 109 hours-power and 210 lb-ft of torque producing engine.
The Soul’s EV comes with a 27-kWh battery, which is good to achieve a roughly of 80 to 100 miles of driving range. Kia provides a variety of options for recharging the battery. It takes as long as 24 hours for a full charge, using a standard 120-volt outlet or as quickly as five hours with a 240-volt outlet. You can however achieve 80% of charging in 33 minutes with a 50-kW-output charger. Inside utilities include Bluetooth, rear view camera, cruise control, power driver’s seat and ofcourse the state of the art navigation system. 16-inch alloy wheels helps drive the eco-friendly Soul EV.
The company plans to take the vehicle for commercial sales starting from New York, New Jersey, Maryland, California and Oregon by the third quarter of the year. Pricing will be announced closer to the car’s launch.
