The use of mobile phone while driving is common, but widely considered dangerous because of high risks to accidents it offers. Many Countries have brought jurisdictions to make the use of cellphone illegal while driving but all those laws stayed controversial, provided users may also engage in such act on emergency and extreme need. But Apple has today, tried to bridge this gap, and have launched a new in-car iPhone integration system, which is a safer and smarter way to use iPhone in the car called CarPlay.
This built-in car display offers a wide range of features; like to make calls, send and receive messages, get directions and listen to music by simply plugging in your iPhone and staying focused on the road.
CarPlay features Siri voice control and can be operated easily with a word, a touch or a twist. Siri lets you dictate the text messages and return calls, listen to voice messages and your favorite music, all you have to do is ask. All the features have been integrated very cleverly with your car’s controls like touchscreen, knobs and buttons. All the iPhone users must be aware of the simplicity and power of Apple Maps and now these maps have been added to your dashboard. They provide turn-by-turn directions, estimated travel time and traffic conditions too.
With the intention of making iPhone the center of car electronics, Apple has definitely found the best way to own your car’s Dashboard. Greg Joswiak, Apple’s vice president of iPhone and iOS Product Marketing says that “iPhone users always want their content at their fingertips and CarPlay lets drivers use their iPhone in the car with minimized distraction. We have an amazing lineup of auto partners rolling out CarPlay like (Ferrari,Mercedes Benz ,Volvo) and we’re thrilled it will make its debut this week in Geneva.”
