The Rotterdam Zoo in Netherlands is giving away these special glasses, made out of cardboard to its visitors. These glasses make it appears that you’re looking off to the other side. Here is how they look like:
The glasses are actually meant to avoid incidents in which Zoo Gorillas attack visitors for making eye contact with them. That’s also the reason why the glasses are named as Gorilla Glasses. The specs were sponsored by a local health insurance company following an escaped gorilla attack on a woman.
Gorilla glasses make it appears as if you aren’t really looking at what you’re looking at (unless you’re trying to see your own brain), so gorillas won’t kick your ass for making eye contact.
