At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Sony pulled the curtain on several new exciting devices. Sony expanded its Xperia Line-up by introducing the slim and light Android-based waterproof Xperia Z2 tablet and two new Xperia smartphones M2 & Z2. In terms of physical design the Xperia Z2 Tablet and Xperia Z2 Smartphone don’t offer much difference but in terms of internal processing power there has been a noticeable upgrade.First lets take a look at Sony Xperia Z2 Smartphone.
There has been a nice upgrade in specs. Even though it uses the same glass panel and aluminium frame design but the Xperia Z2 come with a larger 5.2 inch display this time around. It includes a powerful setup of 2.3 GHZ quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor , 3GB of RAM and Adreno 330 graphics. Along with the new shooting modes, it features both 4K Video and 120fps slow-motion video. Moreover Sony manged to shave off some millimeters of thickness.The battery has been bumped to 32,00 mAh as well.
Next we have got Xperia Z2 Tablet ,it has the same features of Z2 handset but its blown up to Tablet form. At just 6.4 mm thick and weighing 426g, it is the slimmest and lightest waterproof tablet. The significant changes include 10.1 inch, full HD display with 6,000mAh battery that can hold up through 10 hours of multimedia and 100 hours of music playback on a single charge. Pricing of Xperia Z2 smartphone and tablet hasn’t yet been announced but are expected to be available in the market next month.
Finally,the mid-range M2 Smartphone runs Google Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and features an 8-megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom and HD video recording. This smartphone will be available in black, white and purple. Moreover the dual SIM version will also hit the market in April 2014 ,but no word yet on pricing.
